IMHO simple question was asked - how to check size of existing PS dataset.
Now strongest brains are discussing how to do it. Special (extra paid)
documentation is mentioned, obscure services are considered control
block, fields other "interesting" thimgs. Obviously the only available
(or considerable) option is assembler.
Isn't it beautiful ?
I remember I was learning Turbo Pascal for DOS (MS DOS, not VSE). Size
of file was piece of cake, even for complete greenhorn.
Another reason why mainframes are so "popular".
