Trying to give you a sensible answer here. "Bad" notes are ones which are not sent, and stop SMTP from sending others which would normally be "good". Assuming our "g2" server is the "Postmaster" you refer to (it is the gateway to Notes), then according to the Notes admin, it is not giving any errors, and as soon as I clear out the "bad" eMails, g2 goes right back to sending eMails. It seems to me that the "bad" eMails are not even trying to talk to g2 after the first one fails. But other users of g2 are having no problems.

At that point SMTP picks up all the "GOOD" messages in ADDRBLOK & NOTE dsns and sends them on like nothing happened. I know the I have not changed my zOS system, datacom says they have not changed, Notes admin says Notes and the g2 server are unchanged. I am forced to look at the few eMail messages which are causing the problem, and they all contain the MIME statements. WHICH I confess I have only a nodding acquaintence with.
