I think I understand better the IWP concept: Typically customers who have
isolated Websphere workload in a dedicated LPAR to control SW cost have
right now the possiblity to move this workload in a current LPAR (so
reducing the number of LPARs). That allows to not have to increase the
billed capacity only for the IWP adjsuted program product as CICS and IMS.
But z/OS , DB2 ... (not in IWP adjusted program) will have a billed
capacity which will increase thanks to this new workload. I think in some
case that will be fair and attractive; the condition is to control this new
rules well.......... and it is a compromise between a smart SW mapping and a
cost control approach.
