If you have requirements for secure erasure, ICKDSF TRKFMT CYCLE(1)
does 3 writes to each track, 00000000s, 11111111s, and 01010101s for 3
erasures.  No problems with connecting or unconnecting any ESCON or
FICON cables as each port is independent.
