Steve, I've been a member of this list for well over 10 years. I think its always been as you so eloquently described it below. There are a lot of good tips and usable bits of information every day, but there is also a lot of junk. Some of the off topic stuff I find more interesting than some of the other stuff, but that's just my opinion.
