At some level of LE, they came up with parm string redirection. e.g.

  PARM='ENVAR(_CEE_ENVFILE=DD:ENVVAR)/'
 
 
//ENVVAR   DD *                     
LIBPATH=/usr/lpp/ocsf/lib
/*
