They may not show up 'til you get power back and something to talk to on the other end. IPL's issue reset channel and may force the pending status to be reset 'causing PENDing data in NVS. If you're prepared to deal with the DISCARD PENDing; i.e. were massive updates being made or backups being taken you could be safer waiting for the subsystem.
