I would suggest that you take a backup of your source PDS using IEBCOPY and then process the IEBCOPY backup using IBM's DTERSE (pack) program to create a file that is safe to FTP. Then FTP the output of the DTERSE program to your other system. Once the DTERSE'ed file has been received, run the DTERSE program to unpack your file and then finally use IEBCOPY to restore the PDS. By using the DTERSE program on both sides of the FTP process, you preserve all of the data set attributes. >> 1)XMIT using OUTDSN creates a portable unload with LRECL 80 BLKSIZE 3120. 2)FTP the OUTDSN as bin Fixed 80 3)Receive the OUTDSN. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
