We do recognize the requirement for additional and custom roles in z/OSMF.
In the recent z/OS and z/OSMF V1R13 preview announcement, the following was stated - 'z/OSMF is planned to extend its support for SAF-based security, so you can use it to manage z/OSMF user authorization and roles instead of using the current z/OSMF repository-based authorization support. ' With this planned function of SAF mode authorization, users will be able to define custom roles managed via SAF groups, in addition to the default z/OSMF pre-defined roles. The current repository mode authorization will have the specific pre-defined roles.
