As I indicated in my previous post, a one-year grace period for an 
already-purchased upgrade is probably standard. From our experience, 
however, you should not count on any extension beyond that. Marketing was 
very firm on this point. And no third-party entity can skirt the rules 
because IBM has to supply the microcode.

IBM has stated that we can upgrade to our purchased capacity until 
06/30/2011.  However, I have not seen an IBM announcement that explicitly 
states this.
