Also, back in the 370/165/168 era, there was a definite performance
difference for MVC (and maybe MVCL) when the source and destination
addresses did not reference bytes at the same offset within their
containing double words. I don't know if this is still a consideration
- don't have access to anything but my Mac or my wife's Windoze these
days.
