Agreed. My previous response was poorly worded. My escape clause is/was: Create the CDS's using the documented procedures and all should be well.

WLM most certainly relies on IXCL1DSU to format its CDS'. The WLM ISPF dialog can be used to generate the format control cards & JCL, but you still have to submit it. See z/OS V1R12 MVS Setting Up a Sysplex, SA22-7625-19, Section 3.3 It is policy update via IXCMIAPU that WLM does not support, at least not by means accessible to us.
