And that file is to be backed up on the Mainframe Tape Drive? 2) The purpose is to backup windows files to the mainframe? 3) Do you have other processes like this one? If yes, what are they? 4) What hardware are you using for tape drives? 5) What is the complete request? To go from windows to mainframe. To go from mainframe to windows? Be able to read the files from windows or mainframe? You might need software like FTP with tape mount capability or FDR Upstream.
