Currently I have the dubious honour of helping to install z/OS 1.12. We have
reached the part where all of our usermods need to get customized. While doing
that, I came across this modification to the RACF Report Writer:

++ZAP(ICHRSMFI) DISTLIB(AOSBN).
  NAME  RACFRW ICHRSMFI
  VER 0190 14                   SMF RECORD TYPE 20
  REP 0190 1E                   SMF RECORD TYPE 30
  IDRDATA MRACSMF

What it does it change the SMF number (to be written for TSO) in that dsect
from 20 to 30. We don't have clue why we apply this usermod. Does anyone out
there have an idea why this might have been implemented? (It must date back to
the early nineties.)

If we keep the type20 (instead of using the type30), would this have any impact
on our type30 accounting? Might it confuse MXG completely?

Thanks, Barbara

Hi

Our friend Google, gives me http://wotho.ethz.ch/SC28-1343-2.pdf etc
Seems to me, It is a ZAP in the report writer, I guess it will process TYPE 30 instead of TYPE 20
