In other words, changing CA-1 is optional. As Russell indicated earlier and I wrote, you can change the volser in CA-1 to a future expiration date and when it scratches in CA-1 it will update the TCDB as well. Or you don't have to touch CA-1 at all and when you are done copying the tape you can go back into ISMF and change it to scratch again. If you don't do one of these 2 actions, the OAM TCDB will be out of sync with the CA-1 TMC. Clear?
