I have a friend overseas who is trying to bring up z/VM on an IFL for the first time on a z196. Seeing that I do not yet have a z196, I am posting here.
He asked me if, on the HMC activation profile, is it now required to select at least one CP in addition to the IFL specification? He tried to just select the IFL and got the following error: "The list of selected processors is not valid. For z/VM mode, if the IFL is selected, then the CP must be selected."
