This is a cross post from the Linux-390 list as I did not get any responses there.
We have our first test zvm/linux server up and running and now looking at backup options. After searching and reading the archives the Amanda/NFS option I think would work for us. If I understand correctly we could then use our existing tape drives. I'd like to know other peoples experiences with this scenario or maybe make some other backup suggestions. I'm a newbie to Linux so looking to keep things as simple as possible.
