Wondering when the last card reader died. We had one at University of Waterloo until 1984 or 1985; we had a full professor who insisted on using cards. We finally told him he'd have to pay the maintenance-that convinced him (or, more likely, his Dean) that it was time to use terminals.
What's the latest anyone remembers using a card reader?
