Peter, Wow! Do you know you much extra work this documentation error has caused? EOM routines had to be written to clean up this common storage in case the initiator was terminated without EOT routines being run, etc.
If this is true for certain (and I'm sure it is or you wouldn't have so stated), was it a requirement at some time in the past, or, to your knowledge, has it never been a requirement? Also, how could such a doc error come to be? It's different than every other parameter, so it looks intentional??? It appears that this is true also for DSPLIST for which "too long" is "more than 512 bytes".
