The principles of operation requires very careful reading. As I would guess have most, I have failed to be careful enough many times.
>The table, Figure 5-6, titled "Summary of Authorization >Mechanisms" includes semiprivileged instructions _and_ >some others; Looking carefully, I cannot discern which >of these 36 instructions are the 23 semiprivileged >instructions. This table is not intending to show all 23 semiprivileged instructions. And it does not. It is intending to show what it says it shows, a summary of authorization mechanisms. Does it do this correctly or not? (It appears that RP ought to have the Q3 designation but doesn't; if true, we can get that corrected) There are 23 instructions in table 10-1 that are designated as "Q".. (BSA, EPAR, EPAIR, ESAR, ESAIR, IAC, IPK, IVSK, MVPG, MVCP, MVCS, MVCDK, MVCK, MVCOS, MVCSK, PTFF, PC, PT, PTI, RP, SAC, SACF, SPKA,) MVPG, MVCK, PTFF are the instructions in 10-1 that are not in 5-6. (It wouldn't shock me if some day TRAP2/TRAP4 were added to 5-6, with a new column for the TRAP-enabled bit in DUCT byte 47.)
