We have used SMB/Samba for quite some time to access MVS files from Windows. Yes, I'm the one who set it up. I may actually be the only regular user, and since RECEIVEFROMNETWORK replaced our older ShopzSeries procedure, even I don't use it a lot. However, I happened to discover during 'early use' of RECEIVEFROMNETWORK that their MVS file naming convention caused a failure under SMB mapping because a time stamp with colons stunned Windows directory processing. IBM replaced the colons with periods and all is well in SMB land.
