I am trying to work out how to calculate the throughput for inter-cluster
TS7700 links.
We currently have two TS7700s connected via GigE over about 20 miles.
We want to attach a third cluster and I need to calculate how long the
initial synch will take.
The third cluster will be connected and then we will copy to the 3rd.
My dilemma is what is the realistic throughput I can expect, given that this
will be a long and continuous process over many days.
We need to order a fat IP link and just to add complexity, it will be trans
Pacific - a long haul link with lots of latency, at present we are
considering an OC3 link which is rated at 155Mbs.
Does anyone have a formula or calculator to help me out - I haven't found
anything specific via Google.
