I'm installing my first zOS system. zOS 1.7. I have a very old OS390 2.8 system, installed by a previous person, that I will eventually migrate the users from.
My question concerns zFS - the old system has HFS and other than the pre-req of having it for USS it serves no other purpose. Is there any reason I would need or want to install zFS on the new system rather than just sticking with HFS? Thanks.
