Theo, We use RLS, but something to consider. If you are trying to get app groups to use RLS outside of CICS, the base RLS feature does not do any kind of transaction logging. So any "backout" logging must be written into the application. The next step up is a separately priced product called Transactional VSAM (TVS) does do logging to on your behalf. For CICS applications, CICS handles it internally.
