User error? :-) Did you change the SYSID or anything like that?
When you use the LOG command do you see an ISPF short message
error?
Try "SYSID ?" and see what it says.
Then SYSID with no operands.
1. SYSID
SYSID *was changed* recently.
The command SYSID ? shows:
JES SYSIDS=(NEW1),OLD1
and in the command line there appears text SYSID NEW1
Remarks:
Expected output from SYSID ? is JES SYSIDS=(NEW1) (tested on other systems)
I issued SYSID NEW1 - no effect
I issued SYSID OLD1 - and could not enter LOG (no msg)
I issued SYSID WRNG - and could not enter LOG (no msg)
MAS panel shows:
OLD1 DRAINED,P
NEW1 ACTIVE
(system is not sysplexed, PLEXCFG=MONOPLEX)
2. SYSLOG - OPERLOG
My "log default" is SYSLOG, previously I had "OPERLOG only if Operlog is
active on your system".
I enter syslog by typing LOG or LOG S.
WHen I type LOG O I get the following message:
ISF036I NO RECORDS TO DISPLAY
3. LOG content
Real syslog content is accessible under ST, entry SYSLOG +MASTER+
LOG panel always show last few messages from last "live" - it contains
information since previous IPL to SHUTDOWN. No current information.
