Religious for the most part.   This has been discussed to death
on TSO-REXX and perhaps ISPF-L also.  A couple of years ago I
think I ran some tests and was surprised to find that when using
ADDRESS environment "command" prior to each command was slightly
quicker than "address environment" , command, command, "address
environment" command , command, etc.   Search the archives of
TSO-REXX or google for "ISPEXEC vs ISREDIT" and ZELDEN.
