I guess it depends on what you call "access".  Obviously VTAM macro
invocation result in a set of RUs flowing on the SSCP-LU session
(init-other, Term-self, etc.) but I don't recall any way of doing
SEND and RECIEVE against the SSCP-LU session.  FORWARD and DELIVER
provide limited additional functions but  nothing like general-purpose
data transfers.

Admittedly, it's been a long time since I looked in the VTAM Programming
manual so I may have forgotten.
