Anne,

Your stories are as usual interesting and entertaining.

My one exposure to Santa Teresa was an over night stay at the "Homestead" . IBM gave a dog and pony presentation on the future of DASD. It was severly cut back due to one person there (This was a GUIDE managers invitation) being from an OEM . I was hoping to bring back to my installation some insight but had to report almost nothing. I asked that the next time that we were invited that the person not be allowed to attend as I needed information to justify the extra expense of the "side trip". IIRC the response from GUIDE was tough luck. While I realize IBM had to treat the OEM person as a regular person, it cut out any and all information that I could justify the expense.

My sense was that from then on GUIDE was never asked to come back because of the OEM vendor. What a shame.
