Craig,
We are using EXTRA 6.5 SP2 with OSA-ICC on z890's successfully. When
we IPL a system, the EXTRA session will go back to approx 3 lines of
informational message (similar to what the 2074's issue) but doesn't close
the session.
You may want to check the DEFER_HOST_DISCONNECT value in your OSA-ICC
def's - we have it set to 600 seconds.
Also, the "OSA-Express Integrated Console Controller Implementation Guide"
(SG24-6364) is a good reference.
One other thing that we had to 'tweak' with EXTRA is a keyword called
WCCResetClock=TRUE (type this exactly as it is CaSe sensitive), which is
part of the TERMINAL parameter in the EXTRA session profile. By adding this
parameter, it stops the Write Control Character from the keyboard mapping
to default to a hex command valid for SNA but not TCP/IP
.
