I started this, so I'll post a follow up. Yet again, there was NO system problem. The user has a convoluted process of extracting data from a "turn key" system. They then run various .bat and .exe files to get a file that is uploaded to us. Something in their process is no longer filtering out data that isn't for our students, but includes students from other institutions and SOME of those happen to have the same identifiers as OUR students.
Of course, they can't find the source to the .exe and the .bat they gave us for the upload can't be the right one (proven fact).
