Hi, Tim, other than using SMS or a vendor product, e.g., BMC MAINVIEW SRM Allocation, I don't know of any way of directing the allocation of non-VSAM datasets to a pool or subpool of disks. In my shop, we've been using the BMC product I mentioned for many years and we couldn't run our production jobs without it.
