Yeah, we dinos screamed and were very snide in some meetings where the Windows people were saying they wanted "Open systems" versus the IBM proprietary. So we wrote up a long, scathing memo about "open systems" being things like Linux and the *BSD systems where a person could actually read the code and which conformed to international standards. We were vicious and very sarcastic. Windows is now officially the "distributed systems" group instead of the "open systems" group. Curiously, with the recent change in adminstration here, the Windows zealots are basically gone. Note that I don't mind the Windows people. I just didn't like the "zealots" because they, basically, lied. Consistantly. With nothing to back them up. All sizzle and no steak. The Windows people who are left are the more "moderate" and reasonable one.
