The currently accessible archives only go back so far due to performance reasons. If people would limit their searches to recent years, it wouldn't be a problem. But searching the entire archives took Listserv awhile and would cause it to get backed up. I'm working on a solution where your default searches would be, say the last 5 years. You would search a different database if you wanted to search the old stuff.
