David,
the only way I know of how to monitor member usage of libraries is with a
software package, EventAction, by Action Software,
http://www.actionsoftware.com
We've been using this software in our shop to track changes to system and
critical production libraries.
Among other things, one of it's functions is the tracking of members
within libaries defined to the software. After the software has had a
chance to run for a few weeks, this gives you a real good idea of what's
used in your load library, who uses it (userid and/or jobname) and what's
potentially obsolete. A real eyeopener.

Feel free to check it out. The software vendor doesn't pay me for this
plug of their software, but I can recommend it.

Regards,
Ulrich
