My best "reading" of this is that if you rely on "load modules" (rather
than "program objects") you
have VERY dim future ahead of you.
Grammar aside, is this not exactly as it should be?
The linkage editor is obsolescent, 'functionally stabilized'; it has been so
for a very long time; and applications that continue to be packaged as load
modules instead of program objects must expect to reap the whirlwind. How
not? Even why not?
