You put your finger on the "stickler". And I agree that they are not going to get what they want. Mainly because NOBODY reallys wants the responsibility for this. It is one of those things that crosses functional barriers. The mainframers don't really want to deal with a server issue. And the server/Windows people don't want to be bothered with what they consider a mainframe issue. This is another of those "finger pointing" exercises. Someday something will cause upper management to issue a fiat as to what is to be done. Last time this happened, Tech Services (me) got saddled with "doing something". In the interim, everybody just complains. And my main reason for asking such a silly question is because one of the questions that I am usually asked is: "Did you ask about this on IBM-MAIN?". This forum is now considered a resource for possible ideas and solutions. And it is usually a good one, too! -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer UICI Insurance Center Information Technology This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and its content is protected by law.
