Does anyone know if the MCDNMIG field in the DFHSM MCDS D record, which
shows how many times a data set has migrated since being recalled, is
useful or not? We are seeing high numbers in this field, and apparently
the D records are being kept a very long time, perhaps longer than one
would anticipate based on MIGRATIONCLEANUPDAYS. How can MCDNMIG be useful
without a frame of reference? I would rather know how many times a data
set has migrated in the last week rather than how many times it, or a data
set of the same name, has migrated over the last year.
