AFAIR an average lightning (I'm NOT talking about HDS DASD) has a power of 10GW (power installed in all polish plants is approx. 32-36GW). However the energy of the lightning is approx. 1.2 kWh or less. During some labour excercises I got over 250 000 Volts and approx. 1GW from Marx generator.
