Sam has been kicking this drum for a while. With Bob and Peter nudging me I (finally) decided to download the new(er) hchecker and have a look at it. O.K., so it looks like it may be getting there compared to its predecessor - is certainly of use in this case. Still suffers from IBMs sometimes fairytale default values, but I'll kick it around for a couple of days and see what transpires. Consider me (slightly) chastened.
