Once upon a time, accountants were "self-policing" and did it rather
well.
Then along came Enron.
Now our government has given us "SOX" and other laws and "guidelines" to
police the accountants, among others.
The lesson to be learned here is that government intrusion **ALWAYS**
creates more problems that it solves.
