SMF dsns still can't be bigger than 4G (VSAM limit).

Size isn't the issue, it's being able to dump them quicker than
they fill up.  Are you dumping to disk or tape? What are you using
for CISIZE and BUFFERSPACE? Are you using BUNFD in your dump job?

I used this at a shop that was having similar problem:

  BUFFERSPACE(106496) -
  CONTROLINTERVALSIZE(26624) -
  RECORDSIZE(26614 32767) -
