Esteemed listers I have a question on shared DASDs. We are in MONOPLEX, with 2 distinct LPARs (one prod and one test). We have our DASD shared between the 2 LPARs but actually you cannot see files in a dasd of
one LPAR(say prod) from the other (say test), and vice versa. We have only 3 'real' shared DASDs to move data from one LPAR to another. I searched in the list some hint to see if having shared DASDs as we have is causing an overhead in our production jobs and in general. A paper of year 2005 says to avoid shared DASDs like plague. Someone else says there's no problem having shared DASD (as from DB2-L search) . Any experience/number about this topic ?
