I had the CSF task working on our z800. However, when we upgraded to a
z890, we did not get any sort of coprocessor card(s) because they cost
extra and we didn't perceive any need. So my first question is, can I
run CSF (on z/OS 1.6) without a coprocessor.
John, I can't help with the details of setting up ICSF, but on a z890
you do get the CPAPF crypto assist, automatically. This feature may
need to be enabled (no charge) by your CE. It provides DES encryption,
including TDES.
