Carlos, at the risk of a digression, I have to ask: why are you migrating
from a 9672-RB5 to a Multiprise 3000 H50?

You mentioned you're running VM, VSE, and OS/390. For VSE I could see how
that would be a reasonable migration. You would get some more capacity
compared to your G4, and the H50 might have reasonable economics for VSE.

The VM and OS/390 (particularly OS/390) have me puzzled, though. At this
point in history it wouldn't be a typical migration for an OS/390 shop.
Most would be headed to a z890 or z800 and, either concurrently or
subsequently, upgrading to z/OS to get new function and back into support.
The economics are generally much more favorable, in particular. (WLC tends
to be very helpful, especially with multiple operating systems like you
have.)

So if you could help us understand more about the migration, that would be
great. Is it a consolidation onto a Multiprise 3000 you already own, for
example? (Still might not be the best way to go.) Thanks.
