It can be done when the devices are added if the esoteric(s) is(are) defined. Following the addition on the "Define Device to Operating System Configuration panel" select the appropriate "Config." On the "Actions on selected operating systems" popup "Select (connect, change)." Go past the "Define Device Parameters / Features" panel and update the "Assign/Unassign Device to Esoteric" panel accordingly.
Otherwise it's not much different doing it after devices are added. >From the "Assign/Unassign Devices to Esoteric" panel just update "Assigned," "Starting Number" and "Number of Devices" accordingly. On the "Assign/Unassign Devices to Esoteric" HCD panel, I am given a list of devices by device groups. Is there any way to have this HCD panel display only single device numbers similar to the I/O Device List HCD panel allowing me to select specific device numbers for the esoteric? Is there a better way of doing this, say, during device definition? I really do not want to select the esoteric by adding the devices one at a time. TIA. HITACHI DATA SYSTEMS Raymond E.
