Why? They'll get the unpredictable errors even if they're not
prepared, and the IPL might not take place until after they've had the
opportunity to corrupt some of their data.

Needless to say, I agree 100% with what you wrote; I'm just sceptical
of your ability to convince the people that most need your advice. But
ICBW, and it certainly doesn't hurt to warn them.
