Thanks Chris, that was it. I think in this case instead of changing EXPIREDDATASETS to scratch, I'm going to change RETENTION LIMIT to 0 for that particular management class. I'm just not sure how many datasets and which datasets have EXPIRATION dates and will get deleted. Correct me if I'm wrong, changing the RETENTION LIMIT to 0 tells HSM not to pay any attention to the RETENTION PERIOD entered by the user but instead use the Management class settings instead.
