You know, I have never quite comprehended the rationale behind charging
more for a floating license than for a static user license. I mean, you could
make a weak argument that the customer could get more use out of the product
with a floating license by exactly the scenario you describe, but that it
tantamount to saying, "With a static license, you can use our software, but not
all the time." Sounds like Stephen Wright's line about the store that was open
"24 hours, but not in a row."
It is bad enough to infuriate your customers, but to do it *for no good
reason* is idiotic.

If I'm reading that page correctly, it is $5,500 per year,
per user. If you want a "floating license"(?) it is $9,900 per year per
"floating" user. I think the difference is that the first is a license
assigned to a specific user (like Joe Programmer) which cannot be used
by Alice Analyst. The second is a license which can be used by either
Joe or Susan, but not at the same time.
