The needs!
Business folks usually choose an *application* that best fit their
needs. APPLICATION. Question about the platform is not on the "first
page of the specification". It is not considered, especially in middle
and small business. And of course zSeries is absolutely out of budget
limits.
In big companies I know (I know several) mainframe platform is
considered as disadvantage. Yes, disadvantage. Why ? Common (bad)
opinion about the platform. In fact IBM work hardly to *confirm* the
opinion.
Maybe it's not wise, but it is reality.
