From: Paul Gilmartin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For what workstation platforms is WSA available. E.g. OS X? Linux for z/Series? Is the source code available so it can be ported to such other platforms?
According to ISPF option 3.7.1, the Workstation Agent can be downloaded to Windows, AIX, HP UX, and Solaris. However, I don't think this list is complete. For example, it specifically mentions Windows 2000/NT, but I've been running the WSA on Windows 98 and Windows XP for quite some time with no problems whatsoever. If IBM is listening, could someone please update the text on ISPF option 3.7.1? Also, Gil would like to know if the source code is available :-)
FTP might be more pervasive, but from my perspective WSA is a heck of a lot easier. I simply select the members or workstation files I want to transfer from a selection list, without having to type in userids or passwords (etc).
